Tibia fractures managed with minimally invasive internal fixation: a case series of 20 cases

چکیده

Distal tibia fractures are frequently associated with an extensive soft tissue injury, leading to a higher risk of complications such as skin complications, infection, non-union, and eventually poor overall outcome. This study aims measure the outcome open/closed distal treated minimally invasive internal fixation. We aim propose algorithm for management by evaluating treatment options, outcomes, factors present. is case series all surgically in Kamineni Academy Medical Sciences, LB Nagar from 2018 2022. Patient records were reviewed analyze outcomes surgical it.

Clinical Results of Percutaneous Fixation of Pelvic and Acetabular Fractures: A Minimally Invasive Internal Fixation Technique

Background: The pelvic ring fractures (PRF) and acetabular fractures (AF) are among the major orthopedic injuriesassociated with high rates of morbidity and mortality. Open surgical stabilization is the standard treatment for themajority of these complications. Percutaneous minimally invasive surgical stabilization of the fractures has become anaccepted treatment method for th...

A prospective case series for a minimally invasive internal fixation device for anterior pelvic ring fractures

BACKGROUND External fixation is commonly used as a means of definitive fixation of pelvic fractures. Pin site infection is common, with some cases of osteomyelitis and inpatient nursing can be challenging. The aim of this study is to report the outcomes and complications of an alternative minimally invasive technique, known as INFIX, utilising spinal pedicle screws inserted into the supra-aceta...

Minimally invasive percutaneous plate fixation of distal tibia fractures.

We report a series of 42 patients reviewed at a mean of 19.6 months after treatment of distal tibial and pilon fractures using the AO distal tibia locking plate with a minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis (MIPPO) technique. Mean time to union was 22.4 weeks. All fractures united with acceptable alignment and angulation. Two cases of superficial infection were noted, with one cas...

Minimally invasive osteosynthesis of adult tibia fractures by means of rigid fixation with anatomic locked plates

Main principle of biological fixation by minimally invasive locked plate osteosynthesis (MILPO) in lower extremity long bone fractures is relative stability which is provided by using long plate with limited number of screws. Some biomechanical studies have been reported about this issue. However, clinical studies are still missing. The aims of this retrospective extended case series were to ev...
